The Austin Hindu Temple and Community Center has placed a contract on a property on 06/20/2003 for a centrally located temple and community center. This provides an opportunity to create a focal center for religious, spiritual, educational and cultural activities for the Greater Austin Hindu Community. The phase-1 of the plan includes purchase of the land and starting a small temple and community center in a temporary building. Once the phase-1 is complete, the community center and the temple will be built in a phased manner. It is estimated that phase-1 of the project requires $500K. To close on the land deal the project needs $225K before October 28^th, 2003 (Assuming, we take loan for the remaining amount). AHTCC also requests a $1000 pledge for next year towards mortgage payment.
